- American Association of
University Women (AAUW): American Fellowships: Dissertation Fellowship
- PURPOSE:
- Annual award offered to support women doctoral candidates who are
completing dissertations.
- FIELD OF STUDY:
- All fields of study except for engineering.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Women who are citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
Applicants must have completed all requirements for the doctorate,
except for the dissertation, by the application deadline. Applicants
should expect to complete the dissertation during the fellowship year.
Women from underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply.
AAUW membership is not required.
- AWARD:
- $20,000. About 50 Dissertation Fellowships will be awarded.
Awards are for the period of July following the application deadline
through the following June.
