American Water Works Association: Academic Achievement Awards

PURPOSE:
Annual award intended to encourage academic excellence by recognizing outstanding master's theses and doctoral dissertations addressing issues in public water supply.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Any field, provided the work is directly related to the drinking water supply industry.
ELIGIBILITY:
Master's theses and doctoral dissertations that are relevant to the water supply industry. There is no citizenship requirement. The manuscript must reflect the work of a single author and be submitted during the competition year in which it was submitted for the degree. The competition year runs from October through the September just prior to the application deadline.
AWARD:
Two dissertations and two master's theses are selected for awards. First place authors receive $3,000; second place authors receive $1,500.
