American Water Works Association: Larson Aquatic Research Support Scholarship (LARS Scholarship)

PURPOSE:
Annual award to support and encourage outstanding graduate students in science and engineering who are dedicated to research on improving water quality.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Physical sciences and engineering fields, especially for research projects in corrosion control, treatment and distribution of domestic and industrial water supplies, aquatic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and environmental chemistry.
ELIGIBILITY:
Graduate students registered in degree programs in schools located in the U.S., Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Master's degree students should not complete degree requirements before August 1 following the application deadline; doctoral students should not complete degree requirements before December 1.
AWARD:
For Master's degree students, there is a one-time award of $5,000. For doctoral students, there is a one-time award of $7,000.
