Foundation: Graduate Fellowships in the Applied Physical Sciences
- PURPOSE:
- Annual award for Ph.D. students in the applied physical sciences
(including applications to biological research) working on solutions to
problems of comparatively near-term, widespread human interest.
- FIELD OF STUDY:
- Fields connected to applied physics, applied chemistry, applied
mathematics, applied modern biology, and all fields of engineering.

- ELIGIBILITY:
- Citizens and permanent residents of the U.S. who are registered
full-time in Ph.D. degree programs in eligible fields of study.
Students may apply at any time in their graduate program.
- AWARD:
- Stipend of $25,000 for the academic year plus a tuition
allowance. (Cornell pays the balance of tuition for fellows.) The
fellowship continues for five years, dependent on satisfactory academic
progress.
