International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA): Luis Donaldo Colosio Fellowship

PURPOSE:
Annual award that allows a young Mexican researcher who is interested in international, interdisciplinary research and public policy to spend from 6 to 12 months at IIASA working with scholars from around the world. The fellowship honors Colosio's dream of harnessing the science of the North to address the problems of the South.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Economics, risk analysis, atmospheric and earth sciences, global change studies, applied mathematics, statistics, systems analysis, environmental policy and engineering, forestry, remote sensing, geography, physics, chemistry, ecology, international law, energy studies, water resources, political science, and other relevant fields of study.
ELIGIBILITY:
For Mexican students, either pre- or post-doc, who are under 35 years old. A good command of written and spoken English is required. Applicants' interests should correspond with ongoing research at IIASA as described at the Web site: <www.iiasa.ac.at>.
