Josephine de Karman Fellowship Trust: Josephine de Karman Fellowships

PURPOSE:
Annual award to recognize and to assist students whose scholastic achievements reflect Professor von Karman's high standards, by providing one-year fellowships to graduate students who will be entering their final year in a Ph.D. degree program.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Open to all fields of study, but special consideration is given to applicants in the humanities.
ELIGIBILITY:
Students entering the terminal year of a Ph.D. degree program. Special consideration is given to doctoral candidates--students who have passed the examination for admission to candidacy. There is no citizenship requirement in the case of students already studying in the U.S. For the fellowship year, fellows must undertake study in the U.S.
AWARD:
$16,000 for one academic year. The fellowship may not be renewed or deferred.
