- Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund
- PURPOSE:
- Annual program to strengthen the role of women from developing
countries.
- FIELD OF STUDY:
- Open. Grants have been made to women in such fields as
agriculture, architecture, urban planning, civil engineering,
education, nursing, nutrition, pediatrics, public administration,
public health, sociology, and social work.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Must be a female national of a developing country enrolled in an
accredited educational institution in the U.S. 2. Must be interested in
issues that relate to women and/or children and be planning on
returning to her country within two years of the date on which the
grant is made 3. Must demonstrate financial need 4. Must not be related
to a Word Bank staff member or spouse
- AWARD:
- Grants up to $6,000.
- DEADLINE:
- January 15
- APPLICATION:
- Application materials must be requested before January 15;
completed applications must be submitted no later than February 1. For
