Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE): Professional Internships at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)

PURPOSE:
Annual award to give students the opportunity to participate in energy-related research, through internships of 3 to 18 months in length at ORNL, Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Chemistry, environmental sciences, geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, chemical engineering, civil engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer sciences (technical database development).
ELIGIBILITY:
Graduate and undergraduate students as well as individuals holding the bachelor's degree. Citizens and permanent residents of the U.S.
AWARD:
Weekly stipend of $250 to $400 and limited reimbursement for travel between ORNL and home or campus. In absentia student fees may also be paid during the internship.
