Office of Fellowships: Minority Internships
- PURPOSE:
- Annual program to increase participation of minority groups who
are under-represented in Smithsonian scholarly programs, in the
disciplines of research conducted at the Institution, and in the museum
field.
- FIELD OF STUDY:
- Fields of study and research related to Smithsonian Institution
programs and museums.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Students beginning graduate study and senior undergraduates from
under-represented minority groups. Applicants contact the Smithsonian
program of interest to them to propose a period of internship.
- AWARD:
- Interns are paid a stipend of $350 per week for the ten-week
internship period.
