Smithsonian Institution, Office of Fellowships, Native American Awards Program: Native American Internships

PURPOSE:
Annual program to encourage Native American students to pursue internship projects related to Native American topics and using Native American resources at the Smithsonian. Interns are in residence at the Smithsonian for a 10-week period.
FIELD OF STUDY:

ELIGIBILITY:
Individuals who are related, formally or informally, to a Native American community. Full-time graduate and undergraduate students who wish to pursue a short-term research or museum project related to Native American studies, under supervision of Smithsonian Institution staff.
AWARD:
A stipend of $350 per week for ten weeks in residence, plus a travel allowance.
