- Society of Automotive
Engineers (SAE): SAE Doctoral Scholars Forgivable Loan Program
- PURPOSE:
- Annual program to assist the development of promising engineering
graduate students and to encourage them to pursue careers teaching at
the collegiate level.
- FIELD OF STUDY:
- Engineering, especially the field of mobility technology.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Citizens of the U.S., Canada, & Mexico who hold a degree from
an institution with an ABET-accredited undergraduate program.
Applicants should desire to teach engineering upon graduation and they
must have been admitted into a doctoral program by the loan program
deadline.
- AWARD:
- Up to $5,000 per year for three years. Each year of subsequent
collegiate teaching cancels one year of the loan.
