United Negro College Fund (UNCF)/ Merck Science Initiative: Graduate Science Research Dissertation Fellowships

PURPOSE:
Annual award to increase the number of African Americans in the pipeline of biomedical science education and research.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Biological and Physical Sciences
ELIGIBILITY:
Must be African-American; be enrolled full-time in a doctoral program in the biomedical life or physical sciences; be within 1-3 years of completing dissertation research; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
AWARD:
Up to $30,000 stipend for fellow, up to $10,000 to department to support research for 12-24 months.
