United Negro College Fund (UNCF) & Pfizer Biomedical Research Initiative: UNCF-Pfizer Postdoctoral Fellowships

PURPOSE:
Annual program to support the career development of minority postdoctoral scholars in fields of biomedical research by funding appointments for 12 to 24 months at academic and non-academic research institutions in the U.S.
FIELD OF STUDY:
Biomedical research and related fields.
ELIGIBILITY:
Individuals who will have received a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a life or physical science by the end of the academic year following the application deadline. An applicant must be a member of a minority under-represented in biomedical research: African-American, Hispanic American, Native American, or Pacific Islander.
AWARD:
Awards provide a maximum of $35,000 for 12 months or $53,500 for 24 months of postdoctoral research. These amounts include stipend, fringe benefits, supplies, equipment, and travel expenses.
