Postdoctoral Fellowships
- PURPOSE:
- Annual program to support the career development of minority
postdoctoral scholars in fields of biomedical research by funding
appointments for 12 to 24 months at academic and non-academic research
institutions in the U.S.
- FIELD OF STUDY:
- Biomedical research and related fields.
- ELIGIBILITY:
- Individuals who will have received a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
in a life or physical science by the end of the academic year following
the application deadline. An applicant must be a member of a minority
under-represented in biomedical research: African-American, Hispanic
American, Native American, or Pacific Islander.
- AWARD:
- Awards provide a maximum of $35,000 for 12 months or $53,500 for
24 months of postdoctoral research. These amounts include stipend,
fringe benefits, supplies, equipment, and travel expenses.
