Dr. Michel Akiki is
presently a post-doctoral fellow at Georgia Tech, working with
Dr. Suresh Menon in the Computational Combustion Laboratory of
the School of Aerospace Engineering. Previously he
received both MS and PhD degree in Aerospace and Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Tennessee in 2009 and 2013,
working with Dr. Majdalani as his major advisor.
Throughout his career, Michel has received several awards and
recognitions, and these include: the AIAA Special Award (2013),
the UT Chancellor’s Citation for Extraordinary Professional
Promise (2013), the Outstanding GRA Award of the Year (2011),
the President of Student Government Association Service Award
(2011), Third Place AIAA Regional Student Conference Technical
Paper Award (2010), Full Graduate Research Assistantship (2007),
and the Lloyd Crawford Fellowship (2007). |
