Georges Akiki graduated from Notre Dame University in February of 2009 as the Valedictorian of the Faculty, where he received a B.E. degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Mechanical Engineering. He also received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence from Notre Dame University.

After receiving a full GRA stipend and the J.B. Dicks Scholarship, Georges joined UTSI in Fall 2009. Working with Dr. Majdalani as his Major Advisor, Georges is pursuing a M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, concentration in Propulsion.

Georges is a member of ASME, AIAA and the Order of the Engineer. He is currently the Chair of the ASME Student Section at UTSI. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar.
